June 2011... MAJOR CHANGES ARE COMING TO THE SIERRA SAGE...CHECK BACK

S
TRANSFORMED                                   May/Jun 2010
He ran on the mantra of “hope and change.” Once ensconced in office, he promised to “transform America.” The Progressives and Liberals hailed his arrival as nothing less than messianic. The Republicans spoke in hushed tones, embarrassed that all their speeches and “Contracts with America” had somehow been ineffective. Only those true to American founding principles understood what had happened. They had said that it would, and it had.

The Progressives had been working toward this moment since the 1960s under the guiding philosophy of Saul Alinski (“Rules for Radicals”). For them, it was the ultimate triumph of a carefully orchestrated plot long promoted by George Soros and other internationalists; it was the culmination of years of groundwork laid by the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group and the Council on Foreign Relations. The list of political names involved in the groups was the “Who’s Who” of the American political elite: Rockefeller, Kennedy, Bush, Clinton, Kissinger, Gaitner, Greenspan... and now, Obama.

The Liberals had not been so much focused on their cause; they were simply caught up in simplistic, naïve emotionalism. They wanted to “feel” their way to a better world. They never though much about dealing with the Devil; only that the outcome was more “fair, uniform and equal.” Anything to bring down big business, make prescriptions and health care available to all for “free,” and to make universal education a reality, was a worthy cause, no matter what the price.

The Republicans kept putting forward the most “experienced” in their party and moved to be more inclusive of individuals and ideas, even those repugnant to their core principles. They embraced “gay marriage,” but attracted few gay people; they supported “citizenship pathways” for illegal immigrants, but gained few who had violated our country’s borders; and they reached out to “multi-culturalism,” but found few among those “of color” or of other value systems to join them. They did, however, suffer massive losses from those who stopped believing in the Party because the Party stopped believing in itself.

The former Republicans, those loosely organized in “tea parties,” those in groups described by the national government as “militias,” and those who clung to their Constitution, Bibles, and founding principles remained committed to their cause – though, of necessity, were now underground. It was not a “Brave New World,” it was a very scared one.

CRISES
It was 2016 and Barack Obama was just elected to a 3rd term as President. The Supreme Court, now Left-controlled with four Obama appointees, had ruled the limitation on presidential terms to be unconstitutional. It wasn’t hard since they had several years earlier declared that constitutional provisions could themselves be unconstitutional, when international law, issues of fairness, and balancing of rights were considered. The Constitution, they reasoned, was merely a guide; a living document, meant to be transformed to assure fairness to all people, not just those who looked like the Founders.

It seemed that each time Obama was up for election, there appeared a crisis that only he and his wise and experienced counselors could deal with. His Cabinet had grown with the creation of the Department of Diversity, the Department of Equity, and the Agency for Administration of the North American Union (AANAU). His collection of “Czars” had grown to a veritable army, and in fact, controlled an army: the National Domestic Stability Forces (NDSF). The former National Guard units had been assimilated into the NDSF as the states had been abolished.

The states had been abolished? Yes. It was the international fiscal crisis of the prior year that had caused the drastic but necessary action to be taken. The fiscal crisis that propelled Obama to office 8 years earlier was nothing compared to this. Remember, during the earlier crisis, several trillion dollars were required to be injected into the economy to save it from disaster. Following that successful pullback from the brink, international economic crises began to appear. Greece was on the verge of collapse and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), mostly with U.S. taxpayer money, made loans to stabilize it. It wasn’t enough, within 6 months, the economies of Portugal, Spain and Italy began to falter and more “stimulus” was required. It was clear that every nation had to do what it could for the preservation of world order; perhaps even a NEW world order. The alternative was a worldwide collapse and a modern Dark Age, marked by disease, famine, and anarchy. No one wanted that.

Obama and his advisors again structured a brilliant plan to stave off disaster. A number of Harvard economists had for some years been calculating the costs and benefits of the state-federal formula upon which our country had been based for 230 years. They reasoned that with the continued transfer of both responsibility and monetary resources to the federal government, there would be a breakeven point at which consolidation of all state functions would more sensibly be transferred to the federal government. That time had come. The savings would be enormous – on the order of 2-3 trillion dollars. With a current deficit of about the same amount, the solution was clear: the states had to go. They had become redundant.

State boundaries would be maintained for reference and historical purposes, but there would be no governing authority at the state level (or local, for that matter, since local government was now also redundant). Issues of education, health care, transportation, and social services could all be handled under federal departments already in place.

To assist in administration, the country would be divided into 10 districts, following the lines of the federal court system (which had taken over much of the decision-making of the Congress anyway, with the new interpretation of the Constitution’s more limited role in governance). Each would be headed by a Regional Czar appointed by the president and reporting directly to him.

COOPERATION
The fiscal crisis of 2009, the global warming crisis (which remained a threat to all of mankind), the latest world-wide flu epidemic, and now the international financial meltdown, made it clear that our world could no longer rely on nation-states with competing rather than cooperative interests. As had been pointed out many times, however, there was neither any need nor any intention to replace nations with some new world government. That was just fear mongering and conspiracy theory stuff promoted by radicals with selfish motives. But change and restructuring would be required – to save the world and to promote cooperation as a substitute for war.
The North American Union (NAU) had been the product of many years of planning and tremendous cooperation between the governments of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. It was started under George Bush to foster cooperation between the countries, and had now grown to a formal and fully cooperative agreement that erased the borders between countries, assimilated all cultures and languages, provided uniform benefits to all citizens, and fostered economic stability through a common currency, the “Amero.” Though illegal immigration had been substantially dealt with in the “We Are All Americans Act of 2013,” which legalized 24 million people and made them voting citizens. Now, the creation of the NAU made residents of the three countries equal in resident status. There was no more illegal immigration, because all movement across borders was now legal. In fact, there were, for all practical purposes, no borders!

The NAU joined the EU, the IAU (Indian-Asian Union), the African Union (AU) and the UIIS (Union of Independent Island States) in comprising the new world political order. Each union was of equal standing and representation in all international bodies. Benefits were allocated on the basis of population and costs, of course, were assumed on the basis of wealth (to be fair to regions exploited by centuries of colonialism and excess environmental resource consumption by wealthy western nations).

The United Nations was, of course, selected as the body to implement uniform rules of fairness in areas of education and health care, trade, human rights, and other matters of world cooperation and unity. The ultimate source of law was the International Court, and the rules of law brought together all the great legal principles of the world including Islamic Sharia law. An International War Department (IWD) would control all weapons of mass destruction, and each nation would surrender their existing stocks to them for disposal. Henceforth, war would be banned and all disputes would be referred to the IWD for alternative resolution. China, Russia, and Iran all applauded the move, which was initiated by the French.

INDIVIDUAL SACRIFICE
Barack Obama passionately made the case for the surrender of individual liberties for the sake of human unity and dignity. Was it more important that citizens be armed, or that citizens remained free from the danger of guns? Was it more important that personal privacies be guarded , or that national and international security for all be maintained? (Besides, if one had nothing to hide, what need was there for protection of privacy?) Was it more important that the few had greater access to food, health care, energy and other limited resources, or that all had equal access? Was it more important to encourage a few minds of brilliance, or to assure that all had equal access to uniform and purposefully designed education pathways? Clearly, the time for individual selfishness had long since passed and a time for collective advancement of all humanity had to be embraced. Individualism was, in fact, the enemy of human progress.

To assure that all citizens were cooperating with the new uniform programs, all would have to participate in the National Citizens Database (NCD). The NCD would be maintained by the IRS, since income, possessions and consumption were all directly related. The NCB would track food expenditures (scanners), energy consumption (usage meters), health services (via the national health databank), and all other goods and services in a similar manner. Individuals movements in all facilities and throughout the world would be tracked and preserved in the NCD using an easily installed chip inserted in the wrist, the PRFID (Personal Radio Frequency ID). All citizens would be “perfed” at birth and be verified annually.

To ensure that all paid a fair share for public services, a new system would be instituted utilizing income taxes, a national VAT, and various other cost sharing methods. The total national tax burden would be projected annually and the tax rates adjusted accordingly so that no additional deficits would be necessary. A 20% surcharge would be levied in addition to provide for the costs of administering international agencies.

A new environmental fee would be levied using the cap and trade program developed in 10 years earlier but abated due to needless concerns. It was now established that climate change was real; that western nations were consuming resources beyond their fair share; that poor countries needed equitable assistance; and that the world must be prepared for other international disasters, including: disease epidemics, food shortages, and interstellar collisions. The World Resource Fund (WRF) would be the agency to collect and disburse funds for these purposes. The NAU representative to the WRF would be a private consortium headed by Nobel Laureate, Al Gore.

Since cultural values, religion, sexual preferences and other intrinsically personal beliefs are, in fact, personal, there would be no public recognition of any such beliefs. All beliefs must be given equal acceptance in the public forum and none shall be disparaged in any way. Violations of this policy would result in fines or imprisonment and cultural persuasion training.

INTERNATIONAL UNITY
A new World Unity Day would be designated to replace any celebrations of national independence, such as the American Independence Day (4th of July), with time set aside for public messages, parades, classes and other celebratory and informational functions.

The United Nations would be the new final authority on all matters of international cooperation or conflict, with the member unions having equal representation and voting authority.
The IMF would be the implementing agency for all world economic activity, and would encourage fairness and equality to assure an equal share of prosperity to all nations.

The World Bank would be the supreme banking repository for all funds worldwide and would coordinate monetary policies of union currencies as well as international currency in the form of trading credits.

ECONOMIC EQUALITY
We had reached the ultimate goal to be embraced by all of mankind and for all future generation. This transformation will yield a world in which all cultures and values are equal; all citizens are treated equally; and all citizens are accorded an equal share in world’s resources and products.

Some special provisions had to be made for the leaders in the new order, of course, respecting the special position of authority, risk, and effort that they assumed on behalf of the rest of humanity.

After all, as George Orwell noted 70 years ago (paraphrasing) “All humans are equal. But some are more equal than others.”

[NEWSFLASH: This just in from world news sources, Barack Obama has been selected to be the first Prime Minister of the newly expanded United Nations World Organization, effective January 1, 2020. Vice-President Hillary Clinton is expected to succeed him as President of New America (formerly known as the United States].
